Sending Your Invitations

March 30th, 2010

Rather than going to your rooftop to shout to all your neighbors and friends who can hear you about your engagement, which you would look like a raving lunatic, just prepare some of your wedding stationery and announce that you are already engaged.

Your bridesmaids can help you out with choosing the right designs of your wedding invitations and can also help you distributing some of your invites to your guests. Just do not forget their bridesmaid jewelry set as your bridesmaid gifts so that they will be happier to help. Not that they will just be happy to help because of the gifts, but it would just show that you remember to give them something for their hard effort.

Remember to send them three different types of wedding invitations. They are the save-the-date card, wedding invitations and the thank you card to emphasize your wedding date and to show your appreciation to your guests as they become part of your special day.

Ideas for Bridesmaid Gifts

March 25th, 2010

Traditional gifts for bridesmaids often include a bridesmaid jewelry set. This is totally perfect though since most women love to have more jewelry for their collection. And what better way to give them a memento of your wedding than to give them a bridesmaid jewelry.

If you are thinking about being different though, you can invite them for a spa treatment, give them tote bags and gift items you think will interest them. You can also personalize your bridesmaid gifts. If you are giving your bridesmaid a Swarovski crystal bridal jewelry, you can personalize the jewelry box by adding a message or engraving her name on the box plus the date of your wedding, so she would not forget where she got it from.

If you are going to give her a t-shirt, personalize it as well by printing, “Best Bridesmaid Ever “or “I’m a Bridesmaid” sign. That would really make her day.

Intentions behind a Wedding Crasher

February 4th, 2010

Unlike the movie “The Wedding Crasher,” we do not want our guests to be mingling with wedding crashers and most especially we do not want to worry that our guests are missing some of their items during the wedding because there are some wedding crashers on the wedding, although most crashers are just there because of the free food.

Sometimes they can also attend with some wrong intentions, such as an ex-lover who just want to make a scene at the wedding. If this situation occurs, better get rid of the crasher with the least amount of attention and crank up the volume of the music that is being played to drown out yelling or other noises that could disrupt the event.

The good side though is that, it is only seldom that they pose a threat to you or your guests. But of course it would still be better to prepare for such occurrences. A uniformed security officer at the reception hall can avoid them from coming in or a security camera can also be a good idea. Some wedding crashers may even be tempted to steal your gifts or even your bridesmaids bridesmaid gifts so better place them in one specific area.

Trimming The Expenses

January 28th, 2010

There are so many great ways to trim down the wedding expenses. And since more and more couples are spending for their own wedding, they will need to plan their wedding without spending that much.

One great way to do this is to personalize your decorations. If you and your groom love to do projects and activities together, then you can plan to do some DIY projects. Your whole bridal party can join in with some of the projects that you will prepare for them and it will really be helpful in trimming down the expenses. Your DIY decorations can be for your wedding ceremony and your reception

If by any chance that there will be a wedding at the same date in your ceremony location, better coordinate with the couple who will use the ceremony location before or after you use the location, so both of you, can split the expenses and decorations.

If done correctly you may be able to put your extra money for other important items in your wedding like choosing the groom’s groomsmen gifts and your bridesmaids’ bridesmaid gifts.
