Some Priorities to Devote Your Time To

June 30th, 2010

While planning your wedding, you may end up dealing with stress since you there are so many different things that are required to do. You will have to find your wedding dress and after a while the ensemble that comes with it. You will also have to find bridesmaid jewelry gifts for your bridesmaids and find other needed vendors for the event.

Since it is impossible to do everything, better devote your time and energy to 3 to 5 priorities that you can do for the wedding. If you love flower arrangements and would want to do the wedding flowers yourself, then you will have to practice first before you can actually do this task. If you are aiming to do the wedding invitations as well better search for possible designs that you can put on the invitation and learn when you can possibly send it.

For the other tasks that you think you will have a hard time doing, ask a friend or the groom to handle them. Sharing responsibilities with the groom will lessen your stress and would also help the groom to be more involve with the wedding preparations.

Staying Away From Weight Gain

June 29th, 2010

Nobody wants to walk down the aisle wearing their wedding jewelry and know that they didn’t achieve the right weight they wanted or even gain weight as they are planning their wedding. Although some brides go on a certain diet to achieve the weight they are aiming, some brides mindlessly forget that they also need to achieve a healthier body for their wedding.

Since there are so many things that are needed to be done to prepare a wedding, some brides may just ignore their health and body by mindlessly nibbling and a result is unwanted weight gain.

To stay away from weight gain, better incorporate exercise into your daily routine. You may argue that you do not have the time to exercise, but a simple 15 minute walk every day can help you a lot. You can still eat from your favorite fast food chain, but just eat a plain burger and a salad for a filling meal. To stay healthy, you will need proper discipline so that you can be more prepared for the big day.

The Name Tag Game

June 28th, 2010

Hosting your friend’s bridal party can be easy and fun if you are going to research and take some time preparing it. As there are so many games that you can include in the bridal party, but to start your party better prepare a game that will allow all your guests to know each other as like an ice breaker.

Since some of your guests may not know each other, you should start the party by playing the Name Tag Game. This game is so simple and also simple to prepare. You do not need to spend lots of dollars for this since you will just need some index card and a pen to write on.

Write the names of your guests on the index card together with an item that is related to weddings. For example: wedding flowers, pearl bridal jewelry, wedding reception, ceremony, and the like.

The game will start by letting two guests try to guess each other’s cards, the first person to guess it right will relinquish her opponent’s card. It would be like eliminating each other by continually guessing each other’s cards until one person acquire all the cards. You should also give a time limit for each so that it will bring more fun and interest.

Accessorize with Your Jewelry

June 27th, 2010

If I knew brides can accessorize on their wedding day, I would have done that instead of just wearing a simple teardrop set of pearl earrings. Accessorizing on your wedding day was not a main concern for many during that time or maybe I was just misinformed or lack the information. I would have loved to wear a set of Swarovski crystals to wrap around my bare neck. Nowadays, Swarovski crystal bridal jewelry is so common that even after the wedding they are still worn by the bride much to their delight or a set of pearl bracelet to complement my laced gloves giving it a vintage look.

Pearl bridal jewelry are not limited to necklace and earrings. Rather, pieces of pearl can be incorporated with other stones and bridesmaids can wear them as part of their accessory. Even flower girls will love to accessorize. They can even be presented as a bridesmaids’ gift.

Owning a Silver Jewelry

June 27th, 2010

While owning silver jewelry, you will also need to take care of them just like how you take care of the other jewelry you have in your box. Sometimes, because we have a lot of sterling silver inside our jewelry box, we tend to forget that they also need to be taken care of. Some jewelry are even tangled up and mixed with other gold jewelry that the silver jewelry will end up getting tarnished beyond repaired.

To avoid situations such as this, better segregate your jewelry and put them in individual boxes. If you still have the gift box of your silver jewelry, better put it there for safe keeping. The life of your silver jewelry and even your wedding jewelry will rely on how much you take care of them,

You can also polish your jewelry using a polishing cloth before placing it back inside the box. Cleaning your jewelry especially after it accumulated dirt from regular use will help in maintaining the luster of your jewelry.

How to Make a Personal Vow

June 26th, 2010

Writing a personal vow is the only item in your wedding list that does need a budget. You do not need to look for them on a catalog like your bridal dress and even your wedding jewelry since you will only need your emotions and love for your partner to be able to create a personalize vow.

When making a personal vow, start writing from the heart. Your true emotions will speak for it self especially if you use your heart when writing. Even if you are not good with words and just afraid of public speaking that is why you will need to write your vows first, then after that memorize it by heart.

Your wedding vow should not be long that it’ll take hours to finish when delivering it in the ceremony. Most of the time, the best vow are those that was done for just a short time. You can even say a lot of things for a minute or two and most of your guests will feel the love you have for each other.

The Basic Ways of Planning

June 25th, 2010

There are just a few basic ways of planning a wedding and if you can apply some of those basic rules, then it can even help you to have a great wedding.

The first one is to determine how much you can actually spend. Weddings are always costly. Even if you say your budget will be like this, but most of the time vendors will try to up-size you. Always keep in mind to how much your budget is and stick with it.

Keep notes of everything. Prepare a notepad with you and write every essential parts of the wedding. From finding the reception site, the type of wedding you will have the style of your wedding jewelry to the number of bridesmaids and who they will be. This notepad can also be used to create an outline for the wedding and the dates that you will need to accomplish each task. Everything you think is important and needed to be done should be included in your list and work with it.

Ask help and support from friends. Doing all the wedding preparation by yourself can actually put a toll on you and may even effect your decision making in the end. Having someone to work with will actually help you to avoid or limit the stress that you are going to feel. Even if you can spend time with some of your friends and have a bonding time with them will also be in a way good for you.
