Friends and My Wedding

September 28th, 2009

Days before my wedding, I totally had wedding jitters and almost run away. I remember that I couldn’t handle the pressure and I was too afraid to totally commit. I was thinking how someone could stay with someone forever. One man for the rest of my life, one man to be with me! That scared me. Although I loved my fiancée, committing to someone frightened me.

Those days I was in the process of preparing for my wedding, I really felt I was suffocating. I was having a hard time sleeping, eating, and even breathing. I couldn’t concentrate much on what to do for my wedding. Great that I hired a wedding planner and my youngest sister, who was really into the details of my wedding, from the type of materials that will be used for my wedding gown and the beads that comes with it to the tiara, earrings and necklace which would be my bridal jewelry that I would wear for that day. Although I still chose everything that was needed for my wedding gown and my bridal jewelry, but I wasn’t totally in control of my emotions.

Two days before the wedding, I invited my friends for a bridal luncheon which I totally needed at the moment. I needed to take the pressure off me, and my friends and sisters were the answer. I just invited them to have coffee with me at Starbucks which lasted five hours of non-stop talking. They really made my day and I was so happy on how they made me feel. I felt more relaxed and went into command again for my wedding preparation. Thanks to the encouragement of those I love, I’ve been happily married to a guy I can’t get my eyes off of.

There are different types of jewelry and each type of jewelry has its own method of safekeeping. It is important to know which stones to separate and proper storage of jewelry.

Know the type of jewelry you have to store. Stone pearl jewelry should be stored separately from other gem stones or metals because of the fragile nature of pearls. Place them in a separate box or place pearls in a separate area if you are using a jewelry box or a jewelry roll.

Store your gold and diamond pieces individually. Most jewelry boxes have tiny drawers and small areas to keep small pieces. If you are using a jewelry roll, use the zipper compartments to store each items separately. Travel jewelry rolls are best when you are taking a trip.
