When you think about weddings, you should think about bells ringing and love and celebrating your new union with your family, but sometimes, all that comes up instead is dollar signs! The truth about weddings these days is that unless you come up with a budget and stick to it that it is very, very easy to go overboard.
When you are looking to make sure that your wedding doesn’t break the bank, make sure that you keep some of the following hints in mind. You can still have the wedding that you have always dreamed of, and you can do it without making your wallet unhappy too!
The easiest place to start is by trimming your wedding list. You will find that there is a lot that can be said for a smaller venue and a smaller reception, and the choices that you make might not be as hard as you think. When you have a wedding, there is the natural inclination to put down everyone that you know.
Think about who is important to your new relationship, and who is going to be affected. Chances are, if you invite people who you are not close to, you would just be wasting invitations, regardless! Pare down the guest list and you will find that this can make for a more intimate ceremony.
You will also save a fortune on your reception with a smaller guest list. You can choose a smaller wedding venue, the food and drink will cost less, and you will even need fewer centerpieces. Once you start to add it all up, cutting a few names from the guest list can prove to be the easiest way to save money on your wedding.

The wedding is the day that has a lot of intensity and significance hence choosing the color blue and brown combination add as well as imply the depth and profoundness of the whole event. Choosing this duo combination provides more elegance and class to the whole event. This combination implies sober and subtle surrounding.
A light blue gown for the bride would make her look very classy and royal and with brown sandals on her feet she would have a very magnificent and regal look. Decorating the table with a combination of both the deep blue and brown would contribute to the feeling of the formality of the occassion. This colorful combination is perfect for the spring and also would fit in with the trend of the blue & brown being one of 2009’s most popular wedding color combinations. There are a lot of color combinations but this is one that would be appreciated by almost every one.

When you are in a place where you are looking to make sure that your wedding runs like clockwork, you will find that there are a number of different things that you can do to make sure that this will happen. If you are planning your own wedding, you will find that you hear nothing but horror stories about what a lack of planning can entail. But keep in mind that when you are looking to make sure that you are getting the right kind of effect out of your wedding, there are things that you can do.
The first thing that you need to keep in mind when you want to your wedding to run efficiently is that you need to allow yourself plenty of time. There are times when everything feels like it is rushed, but you will discover that this does not always need to be the case. Make sure that you really consider what kind of time you have to get everything accomplished. Don’t shortchange yourself on the planning aspect, and remember that good planning is thorough planning.
Another way to be efficient is to set aside a certain block of time for wedding planning each week (or even each day). This can be your time to research, follow up with vendors, and so on. You will find that you get more done by sitting down and focusing, and your employer will be thrilled that you are not hopping online at work all the time to do “just one quick thing”!
If you have extra time during the planning stages, enjoy it. This is the benefit of padding your schedule insofar as time goes, and you will find that it can give you a much needed respite when it comes to dealing with wedding stress. Take a break when you need it, and if necessary, use those breaks to recover so that you are up to one hundred percent for your future tasks.

Traditionally carried to the bride on the day of the wedding by the best man, the groom’s gift for his bride is something that carries lasting value. While every couple is different, there are some traditional choices you can pick from. If you are a little less traditional, you can come up with your own ideas. This is also a good opportunity to start a new collection, commencing with a wedding memento.
The groom has traditionally bought wedding jewelry to send to his bride on the special day. While getting adorned in her beautiful gown, the best man has the honor of delivering the bride’s gift. She will be able to open the exquisite purchase, and wear it for her wedding day. Gift choices include a necklace, earrings, bracelet, or a combination.
Wedding jewelry is traditionally either a diamond item, or crystal and pearl combination, depending on the bride’s dress. If the groom is not comfortable in selecting this himself, the maid of honor should give some help in selecting an appropriate piece of jewelry. This is a piece that will become an heirloom that can one day be passed down, and will be treasured by the bride.
Match the piece of jewelry to your bride’s personal taste to be sure that she will adore it. If you are not quite sure where to begin, ask her mother or best friend to point you in the right direction. This way, not only will your gift be from the heart, but you will be confident that she will love it.

Winter weddings are beautiful and elegant and there are ways that you can create a fabulous wedding without letting the prices spiral upward to the sky. Check out these great, budget- friendly tips on which wedding features you can rein in, and which ones are always going to be worth that little extra. Learn to trust your instincts and creativity and you will create the wedding you want at the price you need.
Flowers can take a big chunk of most wedding budgets, but you can keep prices low during the winter months. It goes without saying that silk flowers and those flowers that are in season are always cost savers. Reds and whites are the traditional colors for almost every wedding during this time of year, so choose carnations over roses and you can still get the awe-inspiring look at half the price or less.
The impact from flowers is in the arrangement and styling accessories such as ribbons and streamers, not necessarily in the type of flowers chosen. Carnations are very modestly priced and you can have a red and white bouquet that will dazzle your entire audience.
Food can be another budget crashing decision for brides. Wintertime lends itself to heartier eating and this can be accomplished with casseroles, meatballs, and warm dishes. These foods can be much cheaper than the delicate pastries and fruits seen at summer and spring reception tables. Forego the meats and seafood that are overpriced and work from a basic foundation of less costly selections.
The plating and arrangement of the foods is what really works anyway. Think about it, how many times have those gorgeous and expensive cold shrimp really yielded great flavor at buffets? Many plainer and less pricey foods can thrill your guests.
Family and friends who are great cooks will be so happy to contribute to this day. Your winter dessert table can have lovely petit fours, cookies, candies, and nuts that will look as splendid as many of the daintier, more costly choices. Decorate the table and make sure that the foods are presented in spectacular fashion.

If you’re a movie buff or love historic and dramatic locations, why not use a British castle for your wedding? The Alnwick Castle is one place that has everything close by, so it’s convenient for those traveling into the United Kingdom. You might feel a bit of déjà vu when you first see the castle. Does this mean that you were a princess or peasant there in a previous life? Probably not; you most likely recognize it from movies like “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” or “Elizabeth”. Many different films used the 900 year old castle as a setting for their epics.
Now, it’s available for your story. The castle offers services of local vendors to help the wedding run smoothly. You can purchase your gown, buy the cake, book the music, and even have a hairstylist available for your special day.
Alnwick Castle offers both the venue for a wedding and the reception. They have a team of coordinators that want to make your wedding memorable. Built along the river Aln the beautiful countryside and gardens bring a quality that puts you back in the days when knights defended the ladies’ honor and elegance was the hallmark of the era. Imagine saying your vows in a great room surrounded by architecture that came before the discovery of America. There are five hotels, bed and breakfasts, and guest houses within a quarter mile of the castle, so there are ample places for you and your guests to stay that offer the grace of antiquity.
In order to be the perfect princess on your wedding day, you need the jewelry of royalty. Crystal and pearls with teardrops gracing your bodice bring just that to the wedding glamour. The pearl, once more prized than even a diamond, is perfect for royalty and weddings, but place it amongst the sparkle of the crystals on a multi-drop necklace and it accents any wedding gown to perfection.

Having your reception in a tent? While the tents themselves are designed to cater to weddings, these wedding tents still need decorating attention. If you have been wondering what to use to decorate your reception area, there are many options, from economically friendly to downright extravagant. Here are some choices; find the ones that match your wedding, personality, and budget.
Lighting is one of the most important elements of your decorations. Lighting not only provides a necessity as your guests will need to be able to navigate around the area to find seating arrangements and food, but lighting is a contributor to the mood of the reception. Choices include string lights, which create a neat and easy all over light, and are inexpensive. These readily available lights are available in Christmas tree string lights or the encased strings, and as a bonus, they can be stored away for other uses.
Hanging lanterns are also a good way to set the mood for your wedding. These whimsical lights can be matched to the theme of your wedding, and lend to the outdoor feeling of a tent reception. These are also quite inexpensive. Candlelight is a soft light that will make for a romantic feel, but candlelight will not make it easy for pictures. If you choose candles, consider this as accent lighting and not the primary source.
The right lighting will help to set the perfect mood for your wedding tent. The glow of the tent will make a wonderfully romantic backdrop for your reception.

The father of the bride has one of the most difficult jobs. He has to approve of the man that takes his daughter from him, and pay a fortune for the wedding that does this. Most fathers get over it because they want the day to be special for their child. Sometimes, there are awkward moments, only because the father of the bride doesn’t know exactly what to do. If you tackle the problems as they arise, in a chronological order, it makes the process easier.
When you meet the groom it can be a stressful time! You want to hook him up to a lie detector test and feel like sneering when you see the way he combs his hair. This is pretty much the normal reaction for the father of the bride when he first meets the intended groom. It’s hard to approve of someone that’s about to take your baby, no one is good enough.
The best thing to do is sit back, keep your mouth shut and let the young man talk. Be interested but not nosey. Chances are, your daughter already told you something about him, so do a little research into the things he likes, the job he has and his hometown. This gives you something to talk about with him.
Meeting your future in-laws can also be tough at times. Even if the family is not like yours, keep your mouth shut. Remember, they may feel the same way about you if there’s a huge difference in background. Find out where the two of you have common ground and avoid stereotypes. If one of them has a few too many on your evening together, it might indicate they were as nervous as you and not heavy drinkers.
Always give the benefit of the doubt and be sure to acknowledge the ways you’re alike. Traditionally you pay for the dinner at the engagement party when you meet the parents, so don’t forget to have your plastic or an adequate amount of cash. If you remember to smile and keep your daughter’s happiness in mind, you will find that the whole process of meeting your future son-in-law and his family will be a lot easier on everyone!

So, it’s the perfect time to get married. Of course you will want to make sure that your décor is elegant and beautiful for your evening wedding. So, here are some excellent ideas to help you plan out the magnificent evening wedding of your dreams.
First of all, you may be wondering what really sets an evening wedding apart from other weddings. Well, a wedding at any time can be very beautiful, but weddings that are held in the evening time are especially elegant. Part of the reason is that the time of day is quiet and elegant. However, evening weddings are well known for being very formal as well, which also sets them apart.
When you are planning an evening wedding, you’ll want to choose colors for the wedding that are elegant. Usually you’ll find that for these weddings that take place during the evening hours, darker colors are better options. They are more formal and add an air of elegance to the evening. Deep colors, such as deep blues, greens, and burgundies make excellent options for the wedding colors.
Another thing that will make any evening wedding more elegant is candles. Candlelight is always romantic and flattering, not to mention an inexpensive addition to your decor. With the right colors and glowing light, you are sure to have a very beautiful evening affair.
